THE SILENCERS

A city lady had been staying at the farm home of friends for a few days and left a parting gift of hand crocheted silencers for the lids of the bed chambers.

Imagine her surprise when on her next visit to this same home the vegetable bowls were carried in to the dinner table with the silencers on the lids.
